The Ministry of Education yesterday announced that the high stakes Grade 12 exam results will be released three days ahead of schedule.
On its Facebook page, the ministry said results for Phnom Penh and Kandal would be released on Saturday, while figures for the remaining provinces would be posted on Sunday.
The exam results were initially scheduled to be publicised on Tuesday for Phnom Penh and Kandal, and on Wednesday for the rest of the country. Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron could not be reached yesterday; spokesman Ros Salin did not respond to requests for comment.
A total of 93,752 students were eligible to take the test, which took place on August 22 and 23. In 2014, the ministry took stringent measures to overhaul the exam, which had for years seen rampant cheating and corruption.
