A CNRP billboard in Kandal province’s Koh Thom district was struck down on Wednesday – not by an opposition hater, but by a hammered husband.
The 30-year-old reputed alcoholic had exhibited violent tendencies towards his wife, causing her to go to her mother’s place to spend the night.
When she refused to return home, the clingy chap stayed over at his mother-in-law’s uninvited, only to get himself intoxicated again.
In his drunken stupor, he got into a argument with his mother-in-law and started bashing the opposition display, which saw him escorted to the commune police office.
