Vigilant villagers once again turned a would-be pilferer into a prisoner yesterday morning in the capital’s Por Sen Chey district.
An observant neighbour noticed a suspicious character entering a rental room, but didn’t recognise him as the rightful owner.
The vigilante called for help, and the bungling burglar found himself surrounded by other crime-fighting locals.
Police soon arrived, drawing a confession from the man who admitted to breaking into multiple rooms to fuel his drug habit.
