Stealing from the police is never a good idea, yet when a scatterbrained cop left his motorbike key hanging in the vehicle’s ignition in Siem Reap on Monday, it was too tempting for a local ne’er-do-well.
Alerted of the theft, district police kept their eyes peeled for any suspicious character and ultimately nabbed the suspect after he’d driven to Puok district, where he confessed that his motorbike belonged to the police.
The man was later sent to the Siem Reap commune police for further legal action.
